The Maze Runner

THIS REVIEW IS SPOILER FREE
I recently read the Maze Runner by James Dashner and I was impressed. It was a very interesting story and the characters were fun to follow. Although, this was not the first time that I picked this book up. A little while ago I decided to read it but I could not get past the first few pages. It was extremely confusing and I had a hard time trying to get into the story so I put the book aside for later. A few days ago on a whim, I decided to give it another chance. I was confused for maybe the first 5 chapters but then when I got into the story, I couldn't stop reading it. The story is very well written and very well developed although the characters were not. If you are a fan of Dystopian books I would definitely recommend reading this book. James Dashner wrote the book in a way that you do not fully know what is going on until the very end. Once you get into it is hard to stop, fairly a short book ( paperback edition is 374 pages). Thomas and the Gladers can be annoying and very one dimensional which I find is the biggest problem of the book. The characters are not as well developed as the storyline but it is still a pretty good book.4.5/5 stars
